Hi, it is indeed hard to cope with feelings of separation from a loved one. The process of grief overtakes us and goes through the five stages of grief namely - denial, anger, bargain, depression and acceptance. The road to acceptance is long and.arduous and one must go up and down the five stages before finally reaching acceptance. It could take you a year to get over these feelings depending upon how intense the feelings were and how deeply you were involved.
