Fear induced concern around rabies
Yesterday, I was in an auto, and a dog from another auto moving next to me, was drooling alot and its drool was moving with the air. I am paranoid about whether its drool ever entered my nose through the wind. And whether I should be worried. This happened more than 24hrs ago.

I understand your concern ..U have a feeling that just like aerosols saliva can also travel to few meters .But thats not the case ..Saliva is dripped without any pressure so it just gets dropped in the same place or just few cms aways from the dog..
Its very unlikely that it coulf travel and reach your nostrils or mouth .
U can stop worrying about it.

Please don't worry â this is not a rabies risk at all. Rabies is transmitted only through direct bites or when infected saliva comes into contact with open wounds or mucous membranes through direct contact. It does not spread through the air in open settings like a road. Even if some drool was carried by the wind near you, this kind of indirect airborne exposure is not a recognized route of rabies transmission. You do not need any vaccine or treatment. You are completely safe.
