Things you need to consider to get rid of your Phone addiction are:-
1. Do not check your social media profiles daily, try cutting it down to once a day, once in two days, once on weekdays, you can customize further.
2. You still need to feel papers in your hand, Read good books, Just buy a good old book as per your area of interest.
3. Set a fixed time to check the phone like hourly, once in 2 hours.
4. Do not check your phone constantly when out with family or friends, this will give you personal space.
5. You can opt for TV instead of getting glued to your phone
6. Plan real things, Going for a walk, cleaning wardrobe, cooking.
7. Reduce your selfie addiction if you have any. A simple 1-2 group photo is enough to click for your outdoor memory.
8. Remove all unnecessary apps -Games, shopping apps(unless it is an important grocery that you want to order), but here I would again say go out and do your shopping this will help in reducing your screen time.
9. Stop checking your phone once you get in bed, Plan the time you go to sleep. Ideally, it should be between 10-11 Pm or early.
10. Cut the habit of doing a random google search for everything, unless it is very important
11. Spend more time by meditating or learning a new skills, this is the best thing to do
12. Avoid having lengthy chat conversation wherever you can rather call a friend home or meetup in real rather than doing hi, hello through chats, but if you are left with no option then chatting is ok
Positive Impact it will have on you :
1. You get more real, than virtual and you gradually start spending more time with people you know.
2. Your sleeping pattern will improve and will have better concentration power.
3. By avoiding excess social media you will start seeing the difference, you will be away from the unhealthy competition.
4. You get time to complete your other tasks and day to day routine work.
After spending so much time traveling I used to check my phone all the time, wasting or draining battery you can say, But now I switched to reading books, I switched my phone with a book, I sleep on time and no checking phone/Exchanging messages at night for me. Now I am back to normal and I am glad I did it.
