Hello Examinee,
Losing sleep during exams due to anxiety is very common. Sleep is very important every night before you appear for the exam next day.
If you say that it's exam related, then you may continue with the Trika that your GP has given. However, don't take it for more than 10 days.
Most importantly, do not stop the medicine abruptly after your exams are done. Consult with a Psychiatrist and not a GP, and he/she will guide you how to taper it off and stop it.
Also don't let exams affect you too much. They're just a stepping stone in your academic curriculum, not a matter of life and death.
Relax, practice a few minutes of deep breathing, moderate exercise, even during your exams, and take refreshing short (10-15 mins) breaks between your long hours of studying. You should be fine.
Good Luck & Do Well.
