Firstly, please be assured that a small amount of food or light snack consumed 3 hours before the test unlikely to interfere significantly with the accuracy of your endoscopy results, especially when the doctor has visually confirmed that your stomach appeared clear and well-digested during the procedure. The findings of LAX LES (loose lower esophageal sphincter), a small hiatal hernia, and erosive fundal gastritis are structural and mucosal changes that are not dependent on the presence or absence of food. These are clearly visible even if the stomach isn’t completely empty. Please follow the prescribed treatment and dietary recommendations, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further concerns.

It’s understandable to worry, but light food 3 hours before usually doesn't interfere much with endoscopy results. Since your doctor saw a clear view and noted no food remains, it's unlikely anything was missed.
Next Steps
Trust your doctor's assessment, and follow the treatment plan given

The endoscopy results explain the acidity issues. So even if you think there was suboptimal endoscopy , the endoscopy explains the dyspepsia very clearly
Next Steps
Stay in touch with your gastroenterologist .
Health Tips
Avoid spicy food and meals an hour before lying down or sleeping.

The light food you had taken, may have  been emptied in the span of 3 hours, whereas heavy meal would have taken even more longer.Your doctor was able to identify erosive gastritis, hernia etc and treat your conditions accordingly.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your message and for sharing the details of your endoscopy. It’s understandable to be concerned, but rest assured — the findings of LAX LES, small hiatal hernia, and erosive fundal gastritis are quite conclusive and significant. These findings explain your symptoms well. Although an ideal endoscopy is done after fasting for at least 6 hours, a small snack like 1 slice of bread, a cup of coffee, and apple slices taken 3 hours prior usually does not significantly hinder visualization, especially when your doctor confirmed the stomach was clear and no food residue was seen. Your doctor made a sound clinical judgment in proceeding, and the fact that everything looked digested further supports that nothing major was likely missed.
Next Steps
• Your results are valid. • The snack you had did not interfere with the diagnosis. • No need to repeat the endoscopy unless your symptoms worsen or persist.
Health Tips
Continue any treatment as advised and follow up if needed. Stay relaxed — your concern is understandable, but the test was conducted appropriately. Wishing you good health!

Please trust your Gastroenterologist more than the Doctors on Practo. No one is more near and dear to you than the other one. You are only 27 years old, a long way to go. Please learn how to say "NO". If you had refused an endoscopy on the day you went to the Gastroenterologist for the first time , all these things would have been avoided.
