Hello all, Recently a stray dog bit me, there was very little bleeding, so my question is do i again need to take a booster dose since I have taken full course of 5 doses this year , Starting from 10th Of April to 8th of May. And last month September I took two booster days , so it's been 15 days since I have taken two boosters so do i again need two booster doses?

Generally a fully vaccinated person needs 2 booster doses (Day 0 and 3) after 6 months from previous doses (Anti rabies vacc along with Rabies Immunoglobulin). In your case, you have taken 2 booster doses, and after 15 days you have been bitten, so you are safe

According to standard rabies post-exposure guidelines, if a thoroughly vaccinated individual (full course + recent booster) is bitten again within a few weeks, further boosters are usually not required because your immune system is already well-primed to respond rapidly to the virus.
