Hello Doctors, Post Lunch I feel mucus in my throat. It will be discomfort during evening, I try coughing and clear mucus. Burps and I feel something is stuck. I get wheezing sound when I exhale fully. Frequently I get running nose. I eat my food fast and it is because I chew less? What is this condition? Pls explain in detail and suggest a home or natural remedy

Hello Sir, Sir... Extra mucous or productive cough if present for a long duration might indicate some underlying pathology. If rhonci is audible, or wheeze is present for a while.. It's might well indicate a respiratory pathology. I would like for you to get that checked. And sorry to disappoint, there is no home remedy to treat a wheeze if present. You need to consider that with some serious attention.

Hello Hope you are doing better. This problem mostly indicates reflux pharyngitis that happens due to gastroesophageal reflux disease, that is in layman's term acidity. You also need to notice any bad breath if present. Also observe if it increases at night on lying down. Feel free to consult for a planned treatment and lifestyle modifications.

Your symptoms - throat mucus after meals, burping, "something stuck," wheeze on full exhale, and frequent runny nose suggest a mix of acid reflux (GERD/LPR) and possible allergic rhinitis or post-nasal drip. Eating quickly and chewing less can worsen reflux, as food is poorly digested, and this leads to increased stomach pressure. Natural steps include eating slowly, chewing well, avoiding lying down for 2–3 hours after meals, reducing consumption of spicy/oily foods, and staying hydrated. For runny nose/wheezing, rule out allergies or asthma. If symptoms persist, you may need an ENT or gastro consult and tests like laryngoscopy or pH study. Red flags for which you need urgent attention are blood in vomit, severe chest pain, or breathlessness. For tailored management, book a consult on Practo.

The mucus can be due to URTI and Rhinitis. The wheezing is due to inflammation in upper respiratory tract. You need proper evaluation by an ENT specialist.
