I have been diagnosed with disc bulging and the area affected is my left upper body. This has been diagnosed few months back and I stopped dancing and riding bikes. Now I wish to go to gym by informing them about the issue and to do the exercises which wont affect the upper body. Is it okay to go to gym in this conditon?

1. Disc bulge in upper spine is only usually under an accidental trauma!!! Please confirm if any. 2. You seem to be working hard to time your body, hence the physical activity stressed. I presume weight loss is the concern here.i also read you are 27/female. Heavy breasts could also mimic disc bulge symptoms ,due to weak back muscles. 3. Gym is a controlled closed environment body workout and dancing and cycling is an open body activity. So you can opt for any workout but after getting actual diagnosis done.

You should not rush to Gym, instead consult a physiotherapist who have orthopaedic experience for proper assessment and treatment.
