Direct pulp capping done - pain

Hi..I had caries in tooth with sensitivity.. temporary followed by permanent filling was done..so again visited a dentist as sensitivity was still there 3 weeks after permanent fill..while excavation, pulp was exposed, direct pulp capping was done.. immediately following d procedure, pain was there and pain is still present after 7-8 hours..I didn't have pain before..is the pain direct pulp capping normal or is there a need to worry..Plz answer

Hello, Pain can last upto 3 days. If your pain lasts even after that than probably you will have to go for RCT.
