Hi
Kindly not to give custard from now as she's still 6 months old.. baby... May be later you can give 5he baby once she's/ he's one and half years or two.. by checking whether the baby is food allergic or intolerant to lactose in milk or to eggs..or not..
By checking that if the baby can tolerate to milk and eggs you can certainly give that particular food for consumption at later stages as mentioned the age above limit..
Complementary feeding to be started by about 6 months as milk alone will not suffice the baby's requirement..
Can give liquid foods, then progressed to more thicker gruel's followed by semisolid soft foods that low are like if fibre.. and as the child reaches 1 year , then Eady digested foods, bland adult foods with limited soft fiber to be given..
Cereals , dehusked pulses, milk, veggies, fruits, nuts fats and
sugar for providing sufficient energy, protein vitamins and mineral requirements..
Next Steps
complementary foods that are should be energy dense but not to be bulky or heavy.
ARF ( Amylase Rich Flour ) wheat based can be given ..prepared at home...and stored in air tight container and use it as and when required for the baby..
The meal frequency can be 5-6 feeds/ day at 2 and half to 3 hour intervals...
Example: Malted cereals are rich in ARF..
And introducing one good at a time is Recommended.. starting with small amounts of any new food and can gradually increase the quantity.. and salt should be iodized and
sugar to be used in moderation..
Health Tips
packet milk can be used at Discretion by checking the brand, fat% levels, whether it's Homogenized and pasteurized milk or not.. and using the same brand is advised ...
if it's cow milk or buffalo milk check for the food allergies and Intolerance part of it.. and accordingly introduce slowly..
