Post-antibiotic diarrhea after Cifran OZ is quite common â the antibiotic significantly disrupts the normal gut bacteria and the gut takes time to recover. Econorm is the right choice but can take 5-7 days to show a clear effect, so it is worth continuing. Eating a very bland diet (plain rice, curd, bananas, toast), avoiding dairy, raw vegetables, and spicy or oily food, and staying well-hydrated with ORS or water will help your gut heal faster. Most cases resolve within a week of finishing the antibiotic course.
