hi,it depends on your sugar level.kindly get the blood investigations done for sugar level and then as per the report your treatment should be started. If it is mildly elevated we start with tablets and if needed we switch to insulin. the pros and cons of both needs to be evaluated as per your condition and side effects and acceptability and sugar level. any comorbidity also need to be taken into account to avoid drug interaction with other medication
