Dengue and 2 lac platelets

Husband is diagnosed with dengue on first day of fever. He is admitted in the hospital under the monitoring of a doctor. His platelets count is 2 lacs on first day of fever/ diagnosis. Is there anything to worry about or things are under control. I am very much bothered.

No. Nothing to worry about at present. Dengue starts developing complications after one week. So you should wait till the subsequent blood tests don't reveal any deterioration. But 99% of Dengue patients do well and recover fully.

Hi dear Dengue fever usually settles by itself in about a week but sometimes some people do get complication and that is why they are kept in hospital. 2 lakhs platelet is okay and u should expect a further decrease in it in coming few days and then it will rise back again. So don't worry everything will be okay Take care

Have to repeat Complete blood count everyday until fever settle.. Hydrate well

Hey there. You don't need to worry about anything. 2lakh platelet is normal. The doctors must be taking good care of your husband. As long as there is no bleeding or volume loss, dengue does not cause much problem.
