Usually viral infection will stay for 2-3days and subside. In your case for 25 days means you need to get chest x ray and physical consultation needed

If he is continuously coughing since 25 days it is better to get an Xray chest. Though dry cough is usually because of allergic reactions( mostly seen in winter weather) but rule out any foreign body inhalation which can also be a reason of prolonged coughing.

If there is history of nebulisation, or any h/ o asthma in family, can give syp cetrizine only, but better to consult physically as depends on chest findings other drugs might required, if prolonged cough with fever and weight loss, go for investigations and antibiotics
Next Steps
Physical findings are normal then nothing to worry
