Consultation For Transmission Of HIV
I touched a rs 100 note and after that I applied lip balm on my lips with my fingers and after that I realise that I did not wash my hand then i immediately wiped my lips with handkerchief and then applied sanitizer on my hands and on lips also i used dettol sanitizer 70 percent alcohol. Can this transmission hiv?
I'm worried that maybe that note had some infected body fluids.

No risk at all â you cannot get HIV this way. HIV is an extremely fragile virus that cannot survive on surfaces outside the body. It dies within seconds to minutes when exposed to air and dry surfaces. Currency notes, doorknobs, food, and everyday objects cannot transmit HIV regardless of who touched them before you. HIV requires a very specific direct route of transmission â blood-to-blood contact, unprotected sex, or mother-to-child â none of which apply here. Applying lip balm after touching money is not a transmission route under any circumstances. Please be fully reassured and do not worry about this at all.
