I have been having constipation and I was having regular bowel movements before not it's small quantity how much time it takes to heal constipation. My doctor said I have colitis (not ibd colitis) but mild inflammation of colon so how long it takes to heal that and is their possibility of this turning into ibd

If this colitis is from infection, then no chance to turn into ibd. If another causes then may be but its take very long time and donot heal timely. You need to change your dietary habits .low fat and high fiber diet is good for you .

Since it looks like mild infection of colon and not ibd may be due to normal flora infection or dietary changes or any temporary irritation. Mostly it won't change to ibd.. Treatment:    Drink plenty of water(2-3litre) per day    Increase fruits,vegetables,whole grains in your diet    Avoid spicy food or junk food    Do regular exercise
