Widespread muscle twitching (fasciculations) combined with numbness and tingling in the hands and feet over 3-4 months has several possible causes. The most common ones are deficiencies of
Vitamin B12, Magnesium,
Vitamin D, or
Calcium â all of which can cause exactly these symptoms including twitching, numbness, and head tightness. Anxiety and stress can also produce this entire picture. A less common but important possibility is Benign Fasciculation Syndrome, which is harmless twitching often worsened by caffeine, stress, and fatigue. However, because the symptoms involve multiple areas and have persisted for 3-4 months, this needs proper blood work to rule out deficiencies and other causes â do not ignore it.
