Hi, I have compelet ACL tear on my left knee while playing football, it has happened two years ago, but I never went for a regular treatment, rather I have taken first aid treatment, like keeping ice and few days of rest, then slowly walking, Now I feel its not fixing and am slipping often. Now do I need to go for a immediate surgery or exercise.?

You might have developed some degenerative changes, so go for MRI first and then ACL RECONSTRUCTION

Go for surgery, it's been 2 years already. Do not play with your inured knee, before it plays with you . Arthroscopic ACL reconstruction will give you a stable and confident knee.

Hi, if only ACL injury, you can try physio first (Provided you not had any physio before). Consult sports specialist. Opinion given by Dr Sivaraman.B, Consultant Orthopaedic sports specialist, Thorraipakkam. OMR, Chennai
