If decay involves pulp,tooth has to be root canal treated. Or else,get it filled.

Since your child has pain already,the decay has reached the pulp of the tooth.Root canal is the only option in this case ,antibiotic and analgesic syrup will be given first,so that the pain and infection is under control.   Rct can be postponed for some more time as the child is too small and may not be cooperative i.e  after the pain and infection is controlled,but you need to maintain the tooth by brushing twice daily ,or else the tooth will completely get destroyed due to decay.
