Broken tooth definitely indicates that crown will be replaced. Clinically it has to be seen if it can be saved and a new crown can be placed over it or not. Kindly share the picture of the tooth if possible for better diagnosis.

Cap can be placed by post and core or the dentist knows the condition better

Maam, if the crown has come out with the tooth piece .... then one way is to go for a post and core only possible after examining how much of tooth structure is there... if not possible then 2nd optipn is removal of the tooth followed by a bridge with neibouring tooth support..  or an dental implant followed by a crown after extraction of the root piece... fixed replacement is possible nothing to worry.

Post-core and then capping again implant can be avoided want to see a picture of the broken tooth

If the tooth fractured 1- 1.5 mm above the gum level post and core & crown is possible. If it is fractured below the gum level, extract the root & go for 1. Implant 2. Take support from adjacent teeth go for crown & bridge 3. Fibre reinforce adhesive bridge/ Maryland bridge

If there is a little bit of tooth structure a post and core with a new crown may be possible. Other options are to take the support of adjacent tooth and do joint crowns or if no restoration is possible, you may have to remove that tooth and do an implant there
