Breathing issue in sleep

Hi Doctor, I am getting breathing problem and shortness of breath during sleep. It is actually happened just before I go in deep sleep and I feel sudden jerk or breathlessness and I woke up. It happens multiple times before I actually sleep well. So, I want to ask which doctor I need to consult for this issue weather ENT, pulmonologist or any other? Also, I have anxiety problem which is already I am taking medicine.

You should consult a good Pulmonologist who has also degree in “Sleep Medicine”. Consult some good DM Pulmonology doctor in Bangalore .

You need to be evaluated after proper history, a pulmo consultation would help. Need to know the cause of breathlessness. Please do consult , with chest X-ray and a cardiac work up might be necessary to rule out any cardiac cause. The anxiety you have mentioned also causes symptoms of this sort . So you need a consultation .

There is a chance of Obstructive Sleep apnea as per the symptoms , please consult for detailed evaluation and examination, patient will need sleep study for evaluation and also a few baseline tests
