Bleeding gums

My gums have been bleeding while brushing and it has swelling as well. It's been about a year and I have started flossing for a month and a little more but not much of help. Would like to know my condition and what is the treatment procedure

Hello ma'm, Your brushing technique might be wrong causing yellow tartar formation & also will explain further. Are you taking any medicines? Don't worry!  It might be one of the topmost reason for bleeding gums or else there might be calcified structure called' calculus 'yellow tartar which could also be there as a reason.

It's chronic generalized gingivitis . U need to c a periodontist  . Get scaling done . Use soft brush for brushing and follow all d instructions given by d periodontist.

From the pic it looks like you r having chronic gingivitis.There are many reasons for this condition.   1. Improper brushing. 2.Using hard brush. 3. Not done scaling for quite a long time. 4.Hormonal changes.5. Hereditary condition.                                                    Treatment-.   1.Go to your dentist  for a deep scaling followed by medication.       2.Use soft or Super soft brush. 3. Change your brush every 3 months. 4.Brushing twice a day with a medicated tooth paste.

Depending on severity you make have multiple appointments and also need xrays.The dentist will advise you on the correct oral hygiene measures to be adopted including use of a soft brush,twice daily brushing etc
