Back pain after fall advice needed

Am seeking guidance regarding my mother (female, 59 years old). About 20 days ago she had a fall at home and developed severe back pain in the lower thoracic/upper lumbar region. Initially the pain was very intense and she could barely sit or stand. A CT scan done immediately after the fall did not show any acute fracture. Because the pain persisted, we later got an MRI of the spine. STIR hyperintense signal intensity in D11 and D12 vertebral body and disc space suggestive of post-traumatic edema. Pain mainly when sitting or standing (around 6–7/10). Please guide us further on rest and recovery

Most likely it is post-traumatic vertebral bone edema after the fall. This condition improves gradually over 4 to 6 weeks with conservative treatment.
Next Steps
Avoid prolonged sitting, bending and lifting heavy objects and use thoracolumbar brace.Pain control with medicines.
