Your B12 (270) is borderline low, so supplement is fine. Methylcobalamin 1500 mcg daily for 2 months is safe and commonly used. Repeat B12 after 2–3 months; you can consult me for proper follow-up and plan.

B12 is a vitamin rich in non vegetarian sources of food and in dairy products like milk, curd etc. The values that you have are borderline. You can take the prescribed medication for 2 months and also increase your dietary intake of the vitamin for adequate body stores.
Next Steps
Increase consumption in diet.

Hello. Your Vitamin B12 level of 270 pg/mL is in the 'low-normal' range, which can often cause symptoms like fatigue or numbness. The prescribed 1500 mcg sublingual Methylcobalamin is a standard and effective dose for replenishment as it bypasses digestive absorption issues.
Next Steps
In my 27 years of clinical practice, I have seen that patients respond best when we also identify the root cause be it diet or absorption. Please book a Video Consultation with me so I can review any symptoms you have and confirm if this two-month protocol is sufficient for you.
