Consult psychiatrist for ur child if at all u observe behavioral abnormality, but keep a watch for early detection and better management..just take care of your self and continue treatment.

Hello, Ur worry is quite valid.. Bipolar affective disorder can increase the risk in offsprings by 6 to 8 times, but transmissibility is NOT 100%.. So pls look at the brighter side.. Since there is existing genetic risk, other contributors like stress, drug abuse etc should be totally avoided. Unfortunately it cannot be prevented altogether but precautions can be taken..
Next Steps
Visit and discuss with your psychiatrist regularly.. Make sure u take the treatment regularly.. Bipolar disorder is treatable.. So do not worry excessively..
