Are metal implant necessary in RCT ?

2021-02-16 09:58:20
I am having a cavity in my teeth for which Root canal treatment is required. I have another problem called hyperhydrosis (sweaty palms and feet) for which I use a machine called IONTOPHORESIS ( which works by passing minor current in my palms and feet to block sweat glands ) I have to use it weekly. It is mentioned that a person should not have any metal or stell implant for iontophoresis. So my question is can i do a root canal without metal implant ? So i can continue my hyperhydrosis treatment as well as clear my dental issue .

Root canal treatment is completely different from implant.... As per your condition go for root canal treatment and go for zirconia crown rather than metal crown over your RCT treated tooth

Root canal treatment is completely different from implant placement. Please do RCT without any metal post placement. If post placement is needed, go for fiber post. Finally finish it of with a All ceramic or Zirconia types ( metal free) crowns.
Next Steps
Please discuss with your dentist regarding the post too. Hope this helps you

Root canal treatment should be followed by crown/cap, implant is not required. You can go with metal free cap/crown. Implant is required when tooth is missing.

You can do root canal and apply an all ceramic/zirconia cap. Implant is not required in RCT. Also if post is required then fiber post can be placed.
