It's OK sometimes to feel that you have not sorted your self as it indicates your grown self awareness. So, first 'let go what's gone' accepting your self in present will make you feel comfortable. In a way it's in your favor if now you are not providing advices to your friends and colleagues as you can use that energy in your own benefit. Google for mindful meditation techniques, you may find something to connect with. Yes the behavioural changes you have mentioned can be evaluated as symptoms of GAD but if you read your self carefully again (your query) you may discover that you believe in already having these symptoms. And as they say wether you believe you can or you can't you are always right. I believe you can sort your self and getting a little counseling might be helpful for proper channeling of dissipated energy.
