Ankle sprain

Hello Doc, I have 2 sprained ankles . I had sprained one of my ankles almost 40 days from now and the other one has been almost 3 months. I still have swelling in both of my ankles. I play basketball and I want to return to basketball as soon as possible.

Avoid strain full activity. Apply ice packs on swelled area. Then volini gel. Tk proper rest. Keep equal balance on both legs. After relief start gradually movement.

Hi..Generally athletes get ligament tear, in common words sprain due to excessive rotational force which will cause pain if not healed properly...generally it takes 6-8 weeks time to heal but if you resume your athletic activities in between without taking rest, you will have pain again...Consult your orthopedic surgeon for fallow up they will do the needful.
