Ankle ligament tear query

I twisted my rt ankle 8 months back, was having pain and stiffness. MRI showed partial atfl tear moderate grade. Suggested brostom gould procedure for ligament reconstruction. Went through the surgery 2 months back and had plaster with complete bed rest for 45 days. Now after 65 days doctor adviced to walk by putting full body weight. But I see swelling increases whenever I walk. Is it fine to have swelling increase/decrease for few months after surgery till it recover fully? Or cause of concern?

Hi. Based on your history it’s ok to have swelling initially for few months. Maintain limb elevation and most important thing is to keep doing your ankle exercises.
