Do saline hot fermentation for 10 to 15 minutes & than do exercises in pain free range in all directions. Looks like pain is bcoz of stiff joint after plaster for one month.

Hey there! Do not worry. It is a ligament injury, no fracture and any muscle injury as you are able to walk and xrays show no fracture. When ankles get twisted it is the commonest thing to occur. Now, you should get physiotherapy treatment which should be extensive for you to return to sports. You should be patient as it takes time. Follow the rehabilitation to return to sports protocol. If there is any instability while walking, please do consult the orthopaedician. You can go ahead with physiotherapy treatment in absence of any instability while walking. It is paining because of the immobilization. Muscles get stiff due to inactivity.
Next Steps
check with orthopaedician and go ahead with rehabilitation.

Take physiotherapy treatment for 2 months, this is due to immobilization of the ankle and foot, apply ice pack twice a day. Do foot and ankle strengthening exercises.

You pain could be due to ligament injury on the ankle. As the immobilization was done for a month you can start ankle and foot strengthening exercises. You should continue for 2 months. Then you can train your ankle to play football and cricket. You should consult a Physiotherapist in person for treatment plan.

It's surely an ankle ligament sprain. To treat it and prepare it to play football, you must go for sports rehabilitation with a sports physiotherapist asap for a minimum of 3 weeks. Write to us to book your clinical or home therapy session.
