Alligners usually depends on patient compliance and at very young age it's usually not advisable but can be managed

Hello Madam, firstly congratulations on taking your child's dental health seriously. It is a timely decision. Now about aligners, they are great. They work as well as dental braces in most cases. The only catch is, it depends on the child's cooperation. The child has to wear it for 22 hours daily. As long as that is taken care of. The results are worth it. Hope this helped. Aligners and braces are both different methods to achieve the same goal. They have different methods of action but eventually the aim is to move teeth in the bone to the desired position. Aligners are generally costlier than braces. Also, teeth correction is to a large extent dependent on the brand and quality of aligners. This is not the case for braces and a skilled Orthodontist can achieve very good results. Lastly, the age at which the braces treatment is started is important. A full mouth Xray (OPG) helps to assess that.

To choose aligners or traditional braces depends upon factors like severity of malocclusion , cooperation from the child and parents. Aligners are transparent sheets made of polyurethane which are virtually invisible while traditional braces are comprises of metallic wires and brackets. Aligners are removable, so the patient can remove them while eating or drinking and after cleaning the teeth can wear them again while the metallic braces are non removable are there in your mouth for a year or two , depending upon the treatment plan, so it can not be removed while eating , therefore maintaining oral hygiene is a challenge. Both of them have their pros and cons , so the choice is completely according to the patient's lifestyle and discipline.

Both aligners and braces are effective orthodontic treatment options for correcting dental misalignments. The choice between aligners and braces depends on various factors, including the specific dental condition, the severity of misalignment, and the patient's preferences. Ultimately, the decision should be made in consultation with an experienced orthodontist who can assess your child's case and recommend the most suitable treatment. Aligners, such as clear aligners, are custom-made plastic trays that gradually shift the teeth into proper alignment. They are virtually invisible, removable, and offer greater flexibility compared to traditional braces. Aligners are generally recommended for milder to moderate dental misalignments. Braces, on the other hand, consist of brackets, wires, and other components that work together to apply gentle pressure and gradually move the teeth into their correct positions. Braces are highly effective for a wide range of orthodontic issues, including more severe misalignments. In terms of success, both aligners and braces can achieve excellent results when used correctly and under the supervision of a skilled orthodontist. The success of the treatment depends on various factors, such as the patient's compliance with wearing aligners or maintaining braces, following the orthodontist's instructions, attending regular appointments, and practicing good oral hygiene. During your child's upcoming aligner appointment on 28th June, the orthodontist will assess their specific dental condition and provide detailed guidance on the treatment process, expectations, and necessary precautions. They will also address any concerns or questions you may have, ensuring you are well-informed throughout the journey.

So aligners as a treatment option can be removed while having food from the users mouth for ease of chewing, sometimes this advantage becomes the problem as user don't put the aligner back on time and then expect the treatment to go along on the desired path and time. So the key factor here is to be aware of all the red flags before going for the treatment.

Aligners like invisalign and illusion work very well when it comes to results. Only thing that matters in aligners treatment is the patient compliance. If your child dedicatedly wears them for atleast 20-22 hrs a day it would work like wonders, faster and more accurate than braces.
