You have taken good but fever is increasing it doesn't mean that it is infection okay it might be due to immune system okay. Next first you should be able to differentiate between viral and bacteria. 1.high grade fever in viral. 2.in between episode baby will be active . 3.by paracetamol it might reduce or not. 4.running nose and eye redness and other symptoms will be there. So if any the things are present no need to worry just use symptomatic treatment.

If fever is only for 2 days it might be viral vs seasonal , no need to take antibiotics right now , flu shot can be taken 1 week after subside of fever. If fever persist or increased then go for investigations and then further medications right now u can give pcm 8hrly or after fever more than 100 degree, if yellow sputum persists then with high grade fever then antibiotics can be considered after throat examination and investigation
