Adenocarcinoma of ge junction stage 4

So my dad is 68 years old. Stage 4 stomach cancer. He had only stomach pain symptoms he is walking, talking, eating good food, working. He has bp problem. No other issues. Doesn't know any family history of cancer. Pet cet results show spread in multiple lymph nodes, ge junction, neck. Doctor told chemo Its written palliative Chemotherapy. What does it mean?? Does it reduce tumor cells Hes prescribed capox is it effective?? Il attach report .

Hi    If it is a stage 4 stomach cancer,  one has to go for palliative chemotherapy which means chemotherapy is being just given to prolong life for few years but it cannot be cured. Yes capox is effective.
