ACL rupture

I had a fall and in MRI found that acl rupture is identified. This happened on November 18 . Still my doctor is deciding whether we should do surgery or not and asking me to do conservative physiotherapy and wait until December 17. Is this normal? But still i have pain Date of MRI: 20.11.2024 Procedure: MRI of the right knee post-injury Findings: Evidence of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) rupture Joint effusion present Impression of the lateral femoral condyle without osteochondral lesions No displaced fractures or meniscus tears Recommendations: Voltaren salve application and cooling advised. Report signed digitally by medical professionals.
