ALP level -350 of breastfeeding mother
Female 32 year old with an 8 month old , infant , breastfeeding on a regular basis. She has an alkaline phosphate of 350 (46-116) and serum phosphorus is 3.9(2.5 to 4.5) She had total thyroidectomy 6 months prior and is taking thyronorm (100). The endocrinologist wasn't too concerned about the elevated ALP levels when asked. Can someone please advice...

High Alkaline phosphatase level in isolation is not a cause for concern. We should see this in relation to the other parameters of Liver function tests.
