I have breathing problem everytime a day...my pft and x ray was normal..but my doctor said i have asthma...HOW?? Total IgE-2734 Aspergillus fumigatus-0.66(positive) Sir please clear my doubts...thanks...

Hi. I understand your concern s. With a normal x ray and pft it could still be asthma. Consult a pulmonologist for a detailed analysis and a regular follow up.

Pft and XRay can be normal in asthma. The fact that you have breathing problem everyday is suggestive of asthma. And the high levels of total IgE indicate that you are allergic to Aspergillous ( type of fungus). Please consult a pulmonologist and get a proper treatment for the same.

X rays r not required to show any abnormalities to diagnose asthma. PFT might be normal when u dont have symptoms. IgE and skin prick results r significant.
