Allergic rhinitis diagnosis
Hi Doctors
My GP doctor told me to get a consultation to ENT specialist to check for allergic rhinitis since I have swollen tonsils. So, just wanted to know how allergic rhinitis can be diagnosed?
Is there any specific test for the same?
Does IGE test shows allergic rhinitis?
If yes, is it possible to have allergic rhinitis with IGE NEGATIVE?
Please respond I am NOT able to understand.

Allergic rhinitis is a clinical based diagnosis, so kindly visit a ENT surgeon in-person and confirm your diagnosis. IgE is not a gold standard test.

If you have symptoms like sneezing watery discharge, nose itching, eye tearing with itching etc it's Allergic rhinitis.
