All syphilis tests negative
Hey doctors, How you doing? Male here 35 age unmarried. I have done RPR twice and tpha more than 5 times. The first tpha i did was positive and the rest were negative and rpr were both negative. Is it conclusive? Or shall i have to do more testing? As i had no symptoms went to dermatologist. He said no further testing is needed as tpha once positive remains positive for life. So needed the honest second opinion.

Sometimes you may get false positive test.. but i will suggest you to go with repeat testing tpha first in 3 months f/b 6 months and then 2 years .. if no sign or symptom is present. You can have more info related to this by booking an appointment from a dermatologist
