Air in iv set pipe
Last morning iv fluid is administered to me, while administering in starting nurse do not clear the air from iv set as usually all one do like draining fluid from iv pipe in starting and then attach to the cannula. Now tell is there any risk of air embolism or not, also for how much time chance of risk

Air embolism is very rare. But when it happens, it manifests quickly. You seem to be Ok. Next time a nurse does that, stop her immediately.

Air has to remove from the drip set before connecting. Small amount of air in peripheral cannula doesn't cause anything. But from next time if they are connecting like that then tell them to remove air and if they are not listening then inform doctor.
