After SCC surgery
Hi,
10 days before my brother had SCC surgery, doctor had said that after 10 days he can have food through mouth instead of pipe (nose pipe).
But now they are telling another 5 days he need to have through pipe only.
Please help me to understand generally how long that food pipe is kept in the nose... They are saying if the pipe is removed if may get infection in the mouth.. if this normal.
Or how... Please please do reply

Nose pipe is not removed, it's clinical decision by your doctor.
They said to you might get infection, so I think wound is not completely heeled.
Next Steps
don't worry in coming few day he will be alright, than definitely remove that pipe
