After lap appendectomy pus collects occu
My wife had lap appendectomy 10 day before, now she is having pain on that place . I done USG in that some collection is occur, after consulting that surgeon . He put drainage pipe with Usg guided and giving high antibiotics Inj Piperacillin and Tazobactum . I am bit confused whether it will completely drained out and cured or have to do some other process for the treatment .

1. Collection at this time could mean, retained,  or secondary to infection or some blow out. 2. Amount and nature of collection are important. 3. Can have some clue from Histopathological report of the removed sample of appendix sent for Histopathological examination. As the etiology of appendicitis may be elusive to the diagnosis of collection.
