After delivery feeling low and upset
I have delivered a baby boy 8 days before. Happily I have come to my maika. But after coming here from next day itself i started feeling to cry and get irritated. I miss my husband. When I talk to him i cry out loud and started having headache now. Pls suggest and help me with this. What shall I do to over come this

Hi.. pregnancy and post partum period are stressful. Some people can have emotional changes called post partum blues... which subside over 2 weeks. Some may develop post partum depression. You will need support from your family members and small percentage of people may need medications.

Post pattum emotional changes are common after child birth due to physiological changes inside the body. If they are manageable, you can wait and they will tide over few weeks to few months time. If the symptoms are very much more and unbearable, you can consult a psychiatrist and seek remedy. You will be improving within 2 to 4 weeks likely
