Advice on UTI infection
I am 48, healthy woman. I had a sudden onset of bladder pressure and blood in my urine. I did not have fever. My doctor prescribed me a few days of antibiotics: Nitrofurantoin. The symptoms have subsided but I feel flushed and lethargic and have muscle ache. But not signficanlty. I was told today the bacteria was in fact citrobacter and now I am taking Trimethoprim (200mg x 2 per day for 3 days). It seems this bacteria is rare in healthy women and only found in elderly patients or people with ve
