Hairfall is not due to one single cause. There are many conditions which can cause extreme hair loss and thinning of hair on the scalp. So first and foremost we have to find the cause of hair fall with the help of detailed history and examination. Some of the common causes maybe nutritional deficiency, hormonal causes like androgenic alopecia also called pattern baldness, hypothyroidism, telogeun effluvium etc. Unless we find and c,read the cause there is no point in giving non specific treatment. Also one should refrain from home remedies as it does not give any relief from hairfall. Oil and shampoos do not have any effect on hair growth as they are not absorbed in the skin. Please contact me using online consultation for proper examination diagnosis and treatment

At a TSH of 6, it is certainly over the normal limit but not significant to warrant any further investigations at present. Usually, a level above 15 with clinical signs of thyroid disease warrants some further checkups with your endocrinologist.
Next Steps
For now, follow what your doctor has prescribed. Minoxidil is usually given for female pattern hair loss and has to be applied regularly for atleast 3 months to see the benefits.
Health Tips
Two of the most common causes of hair fall are Telogen Effluvium and Female Pattern Hair Loss. Read this article for some additional tips on preventing hair fall. https://saikiaskin.care/top-25-tips-to-prevent-hair-fall/

Hello dear. Your TSH is slightly high than the normal range. Get a repeat test done after a week from another lab. Continue using minoxidil for atleast 7 months. Hairfall will stop. Don't worry
