Advice for contact lenses(mono vision)
Sir, I have a myopia of around -8.5 and astigmatism of -1.5. Power provided is contact lens power. I want to know whether i can prefer soft lens? The power provided above is for near vision. If i use soft lens in place of toric lens, will it interfere with my near vision clarity provided with such astigmatism?

You have not provided the axis of cylindrical error. If toric lenses have been prescribed after testing then you must use toric as only spherical lenses may not give good vision. The lenses must be for near and distance both. As at this age you are not required to use glasses for near separate
