Hi, for accurate assessment and treatment of adult attention deficit disorder, should I consult a psychiatrist or a neurologist? I had initially consulted a psychiatrist who gave me an MCMI test and the results showed ADD and moderate depression. I was on Inspiral for a while and while it was making me feel happier, it didn't help much with focus. I'm not sure if I have ADD or its something else. Who should I consult?

You should consult a neurologist first to see if any other organic disorder or diagnosis can be made from neurology side... Only if nothing significant from neurological point of view then should consult a psychiatrist if the neurologist feels so....
