Acne, acne scars, oily
Hello, I'm 36 year old Male with very oily skin. I have acne even at  this age which is a shame. I also have acne marks and uneven skin tone, basically skin looks dirty and oily but it gets dry too if I wash my face more often. I also have pores which are getting bigger by the day. Please help me in getting clear and smooth skin. I'm not after fairness but after healthier and cleaner looking skin. I skipped coffee from my daily routine which I guess is helping in acne reduction. I have a sweet tooth which is beyond my control and I end up eating lots of chocolates and ice creams every week. I heard that berberis aquifolium can be a solution for me. Please suggest the medication and its dosage. Looking forward to get help from you all. Thanks

Acne or pimples is a common skin condition frequently seen in young individuals during teenage and youth years. This occurs mainly due to the action of hormones on the oil glands in the skin. The draining ducts of the oil glands get blocked and hence they are not able to drain the oil secretion. The oil and cells inside the blocked gland form a perfect environment for the growth of Propionibacterium acnes (the organism responsible for acne). Thus, it results in the formation of pimples or acne. Acne usually occurs on the face, chest, back, shoulders and neck. It is one of the most common skin conditions.
