Hello,
I was operated for ACL reconstruction and medial meniscus removal(3mm) in 2011 August. Things were absolutely fine till now but on 4th sep 2017,suddenly while coming downwards to stairs , forgot the step and there was a twist and i fall down. I am not able to walk and there is a limping. MRI shows partial tear of ACL and one of the doctors told to go for ACL surgery once again.
Please let me know if surgery is really needed in this case ? Will physiotherapy not help in getting he problem fixed ?
MRI reports are attached.

The ACL tear is partial hence it will be advised to wait till the injury heals. Ideally in such cases surgeons recommend physiotherapy for at least 3 months before going for surgery. Only if patient is symptomatic (buckling of knee or severe pain on walking) after 3 months then surgery is recommended.
Next Steps
Advise you to start physiotherapy and take a second orthopedic opinion
