Accutane -Dark skin tone
Hi dr, I have been taking accutane (20 mg) for the last 40 days. Before I start this i know serious side effects like dry skin lip muscle pain etc.. but suddenly my face becomes darker especially around the nose and mouth area . I am daily using moisture and sunscreen (tinted) without fail. Don't know why the face becomes darker. What is the reason for that. I have also been facing this acne issue for the last 10 years . 2.5 years once acne is so aggressive. Two times I did chemical peels. So this time I'm advised of the accutane pill. Please advise why the face becomes darker even though using sunscreen and moisture. Kindly advise the best solution for this.
