About vitamin b12
I did my test for vitamin b12 .the test report value shows 180pg/ml. Is it very low? What shall I do to increase vitamin b12?. What problems will happen if it is low? What is the recommended value?. I should take any supplements if yes please suggest me good supplements with out any side effects.

Its not that less..you can eat fortified cereals, cheese and yogurt. You can develop neurological abnormalities and muscular dystrophy.

cobalamin 1000 mcg IM/SC daily for 5 days followed by 1000 mcg/wk for 5 weeks, then 100-1000 mcg/mo for life. B12 tablets for maintenance.
